General Note
From Gibson, pg39:

"Marion T. Pflieger, chief clerk of the Northern Central and Pennsylvania Railway freight office was born in 1855 and is of German descent. The Pflieger family is well known in the history of York County. Mr. Pflieger was educated at the public schools and York Co. Academy and in 1869 entered the employ of the firm now known as Thomas Chambers and Co. as a messenger, and in 1870 was promoted to the position of bookkeeper. Here he remained until 1875 when he engaged in the railway business. In 1880 he was made chief clerk and still holds that position. He was married in 1876 to Ida J. Keich. They have two children. Mr. Pflieger was a staunch Democrat."
