The picture was taken in 1935 of the Cigar Factory in Dover Borough; in 1939 the names were listed on the back of the picture. Mattie Shermeyer and Bob Merkert approved the motion that Bob Forrey will print pictures of the Blacksmith Shop for $3.00 each for the Society to use in their archives, Mrs. Kanns book and for the crew who will be re-building the Shop.

-The Society is still trying to contact the owners of the Revolutionary War headstone located in their back yard. They have not responded to any written letters left at their house. Susan Forrey will try to make personal contact with them. (Note: the prior owners name was Ferrance.)

Joyce Law gave web page Report – Mattie’s loaned postcards are now on the web site. Bob Schlag took pictures of our 3rd Annual Historical Walk and those pictures will be put on the web site. The members decided that any person donating to the Society, their name should appear on our website.

-Kay Stitley told about the 3rd Annual Historic Walk through Dover on Tuesday, June 17 at 6pm. Her main observations’ concerning the walk was that it RAINED!! But despite the weather, the walkers had fun. The June 2002 walk had 25 attendees and this year we had 26 walkers.

NEW BUSINESS: The Borough is purchasing banners to be displayed on the poles throughout the Borough. The Society agreed we would like to hang a banner. (The banners cost $105.00 and have a life expectancy of 3 years)
