Ruth Pauline (Wolgamuth) Drawbaugh, 77 died 4:40 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2004 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Charles C. Drawbaugh to whom she was married since June 4, 1947.
She was born August 4, 1926 in Dover Township, a daughter of the late George A. & Helen M. (Drawbaugh) Wolgamuth.
Mrs. Drawbaugh was a homemaker, a devoted quilter and seamstress. She was a long time member of the Mount Royal United Methodist Church; A member of Starlight Chapter #405 Order of Eastern Star for 43 years; a member of the American Association of Retired Persons; and a member of Dover AARP Chapter #3875.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Patsy (Drawbaugh) Hartnett of Gettysburg; a son, Dean Drawbaugh of Chambersburg; a grandson, Graeme Hartnett of Gettysburg; a granddaughter, Kerry Hartnett of Gettysburg; four sisters, Mae Myers and Faye Sheffer, both of York, Shirley Hutchins of Dover and Sara Eisenhart of Thomasville; and two brothers, Glenn L. Wolgamuth of Dover, and Jan Wolgamuth of York.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday and the viewing from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Royal United Methodist Church, Old Carlisle road, Dover, Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. William Gettins. Emit Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover is in charge of arrangements.
