 DOVER Lori A. Kendig, 46, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, December 24,
2007, at her home. She was the wife of Steven V. Kendig. The couple celebrated their 23rd
wedding anniversary June 6, 2007. She was born May 7, 1961, in York, a daughter of Robert
R. and Nadean (Klinedinst) Merkert of Dover. Lori had 17 years of service for York Adams
Area Tax Bureau. She was a member of New Creation Community Church , Dover. She enjoyed
volunteering her time throughout the Dover community, especially for BINGO night at Union
Fire & Hose Co. #1, Dover. In the past, Lori had been very active in the Dover Soccer
Program. In addition to her husband and parents, Lori is survived by three children, Eric
R. Kendig, Brett V. Kendig and Kelsey I. Kendig, all of Dover; and two brothers, Jeffrey
Merkert and Michael Merkert, both of Dover. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited
to attend the memorial service 10 a.m. and the visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at New
Creation Community Church, 3005 Emig Mill Rd., Dover, with her pastor, the Rev. Cathy
Boileau, officiating. Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover, is in charge of
arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Asera Care
Hospice, 44 Bowman Rd., York, PA 17408 .
