- The Blacksmith Shop Project – a
picture from circa 1911 of the original Blacksmith Shop, built by Charles
Myers, was given to the Historical Society by his great-grandson. The
picture will aide the Society in rebuilding the shop. 19 volunteers
removed all the wood for the shop from the Spahr barn to the Alda

of the Distillery. A discussion followed concerning the pro and con of
having this building on the National Registry list. Factors discussed were
the ownership of the building, costs of the rebuild and the permits and
fees involved from putting the building on the list. Secretary Susan
Forrey will look into the matter and present her findings at the next
meeting.
- The Secretary asked members to
check and verify if the committee list was correct. Any corrections please
see Sue.
